Large Structural Demolition at active Marina.

Palmetto Construction Services was chosen for external and internal structural and select site demolition of the Marker 1 Marina in Dunedin, Florida. PCS was responsible for demolishing the 46′ tall structure within 10 feet of an active marina and boat dock with continuous public foot traffic.

The scope included identifying all existing utilities prior to demolition, protecting existing underground utilities during demolition of existing structures, and removing existing structures, including foundations and utilities to full extent. PCS was responsible for demolition and removal of a 30″ thick reinforced concrete lift, paving, and ongoing maintenance on established BMPs to ensure no impact to waterways and an existing seawall that was to remain. Removal of masonry walls, boat racks, and existing property, which was to be stored on site for future relocation was also included in the project.
